Recently, Milana and her mother visited us at the MCI office in Barcelona. Milana was previously supported by the Our Children Foundation

Milana is 15 years old and received treatment at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Spain. The family now lives close to our office, Milana studies online, and they currently travel to the United States for the injections she needs.

Some time ago, the Our Children charitable foundation supported Milana with fundraising for her treatment. During our recent meeting, we were able to pass on some gifts from the foundation. Milana and her mother were very touched to know that, even after all this time, the foundation still remembers them and continues to take an interest in how the family is doing.

We spent some time talking about Barcelona, school and everyday life. Milana told us that she really likes Spain and was genuinely delighted with the gifts. From our side, we reassured the family of one important thing: if they ever need support here in Spain, MCI is always here and ready to help.

For us, meetings like this are a reminder that supporting a family is not only about medical documents, hospitals, treatment or fundraising. Sometimes it is just as important to stay in touch and let people know that they are still remembered.
